Run Olias Run!!!

Noticed alot lately that hero MM's like to spam death nova while your party is miles ahead getting shalacked with no meat shields present. I know the advantage of using a MM is to outnumber the enemy but when your hero MM is miles away it kind of negates the idea. I set the guy to attack instead of defend and it makes no difference. I add skills like "incoming" or "Fall Back" . . it makes no difference.

Flagging Olias or one of the other necro heros up some monsters behind constantly is becoming quite a drag. I dont feel like microing all day long to be honest. AI for the MM is lacking in my opionion though he does great casting Death Nova on minions. Moreover, when he finally does catch up to the party , the foes have already been eliminated or he stands behind the party out of aggro for some reason.

All this is of no consequence if u plod along at a snails pace, but i like to move at a relatively fast pace as i'm sure most people do.

I realize the AI is only doing its job by spamming nova and whatnot, but come on . . when they hero nearly loses radar contact its kinda stupid.

Again i know that slowing down the pace and micro well fix this issue.
Time is money and we all know that time is of the essence.

In closing id just like to ask , why doesnt the AI realize the party is in need and make Forrest stop spamming junk when its not needed if he never reaches aggro.

That's how it works, deal with it. Disable death nova while not in combat or wait for a man to finish his job. I personally let him do what he does and he always joins combat a bit later.
Also there was a thread on this recently.

personally i dont have this problem that seems notorious with MMs. Maybe its b/c i have most of them go N/P with fallback to keep minions healed/so they wotn sit there and cast.

maybe try using that.

This sounds more like a complaint than a question. It is what it is - AI. It's not perfect, so you either must adjust accordingly or find different heroes to use.
